Leah McConnachie (6) from Bearsden and her nine-year-old Shetland pony Amber took centre stage recently when Amber was dressed as a unicorn for a recent family photoshoot.
Amber was diagnosed with Equine Metabolic Syndrome (EMS) - a condition similar to diabetes in humans - and has now made a full recovery.
The family decided to celebrate the special bond between the pair with this photoshoot. Leah has been riding Amber since she was 10-months-old. Her mum said: “Leah has grown up with Amber, but is sadly now getting to a stage where she is outgrowing her for riding.”
