Parents fighting to save Milngavie’s only Catholic school from closure are going to take their campaign to the streets this Saturday (October 5).
Friends and supporters of St Joseph’s Primary are going to stage a protest in Milngavie. The march will leave Oakburn Park, which is next to the school, at 12pm (midday).
Marchers will sing, whistle and bongo drum their way through the centre of Milngavie to St Joseph’s Church, where the children will be given pink hand-shaped pieces of paper and invited to write down why they want to stay at St Joseph’s in Milngavie.
The pink hands will be used for a display in the foyer of the Church Hall.
