Kaye Adams, Scottish television presenter best known for presenting Loose Women from 1999 to 2006, officially opened Milngavie Book and Arts Festival on Tuesday evening in The Lillie Art Gallery, Milngavie.

Kaye was delighted to be involved and said: “It looks like book festivals are becoming the new rock n roll and not before time. I’d encourage people to come to Milngavie and lose themselves in countless other worlds.”

This is the fourth festival and has an exciting programme of events running until Saturday night.

The opening reception was followed by the New Writers’ Panel, chaired by local poet/writer Leela Soma. Kaye is with Leela and other authors Maggie Rabatski, Pauline Wilkie and Bert Mitchell.
