MP Jo Swinson dropped in to see residents at Jedworth Sheltered Housing Association in Bearsden when they were learning how to use the internet recently.

Some of their computers had been donated by Ms Swinson from her constituency office in Bishopbriggs and a grant from the Big Lottery Fund paid for some of them as well as tuition with Jim McKee (far left). He is with (left to right) Bill Rooney, the association chairman, Flora McGill, Margaret Lister, Alex Davidson, secretary of the association, Pearl Milne, Jo Swinson, Maime Brady, Maime Bishop and Ella Boyle, vice chairperson of the association.

The tenants are looking forward to keeping in contact with their families through the internet, especially the younger ones, and they think it will help to close the generation gap. (Ref: m11252)
