THREE talented dancers from Bearsden performed live in front of millions of TV viewers for the final of Sky 1’s Got to Dance last Sunday.
Bearsden Academy pupil Stephanie Taylor (16), and former Bearsden Academy pupils Lorna Munn (24) and Jaimie Macrae (18) were part of a dance group of 17 girls aged between 10 and 25, called Fear of the Unknown.
Unfortunately they lost out on the top prize of £250,000 but they were thrilled to make the top three acts of the show after a public vote.
The girls who are all members of Gorbals dance school Dancepoint Central, wowed the judges when they performed a stunning routine based on Ancient Egypt.
Judge Ashley Banjo told them they were worth the top prize and former Pussycat Doll Kimberley Wyatt siad their routine was an unforgettable cinematic experience.
However the Irish dance group Prodijig scooped first prize for their unique contemporary twist on traditional Irish dance.
Jaimie said: “All of us were delighted that out of thousands of acts that applied to take part we made it through to the final three.
“We had great fun and we are very proud of our achievement.”
