Ramblers Scotland are looking for volunteers to help during a practical footpath maintenance day at Mains Estate in Milngavie on Saturday, September 27.
This second eventfollows the work they started in Mains Estate earlier this year and provides a great opportunity for volunteers to learn some outdoor skills and gain practical experience in dealing with
minor path problems.
They will be installing waymarkers designed by children from the local school (Clober Primary), improving drainage and cutting back vegetation.
No previous experience is required.
All tools and equipment will be provided but you should take suitable clothing for outdoor work.
Please let them know in advance if you’d like to go by emailing Jeannie Cranfield, email@example.com or call the Ramblers Scotland office on 01577 867744.
Ramblers Scotland works to safeguard paths and ensure that our right to roam is upheld.
They campaign to protect the beauty of the countryside and represent the interests of all walkers in calling for more investment in our path networks.
