People are being invited to workshops which will help to guide the future for Bearsden, Bishopbriggs and Milngavie town centres.
East Dunbartonshire Council is preparing strategies for each of the town centres and wants to hear from residents, businesses and groups on key issues, as well as opportunities for improvement.
An online survey is live until Wednesday, November 30 - at www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/MMBCKCF - and a number of workshops are taking place:
· Bearsden - Tuesday, November 8 at Bearsden Academy, 6.30pm-8.15pm.
· Bishopbriggs - Wednesday, November 16 at Bishopbriggs Memorial Hall, 6.30pm-8.15pm.
· Milngavie - Thursday, November 17 at the Fraser Centre (Milngavie Precinct), 6.30pm-8.15pm.
The events will be using the ‘Place Standard’ tool to explore the current strengths, weaknesses and key requirements of each centre.
If you want to attend please send an e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org to book a place.
Councillor Alan Moir, convener of development and regeneration, said: “This is a vital time for our town centres and if we are to ensure their long-term viability and vitality then we need as many people as possible to get involved.
“We would like to hear from anyone with a keen interest in shaping local town centres.
“The workshops and survey will provide us with a good platform to take forward strategies for each of the town centres, which we are aiming to publish as drafts next year.
“The plans will set out a positive, long-term vision for each town centre and specific future actions.”
