Happy family enjoy double medal success

A father and daughter were among the medals for Garscube Harriers at the recent Scottish national cross country championships in Falkirk.

Alexander Chisholm struck gold when he was first over-60s male home, finishing 320th overall.

And daughter Lesley made it a family double when she was second F40 women’s runner, and 10th overall, in the women’s race.

Ann White also achieved a top three finish in her category, coming second in the F60 race.

Leading Garscube finishers were -

U13 boys - 33 Finlay Ross-Davie, 68 Ruairidh Stickland, 90 Luke Aitken, 146 Euan Chapman. Team - 14th.

U15 boys - 27 Elliot Duff, 50 Arun Taylor, 51 James Cathro, 75 Daniel McGarrie, 104 Stuart Reid, 117 Fraser Gordon. Team - 10th.

U17 men - 42 Cody Stevenson, 65 Thomas Berry,86 Craig Weston.
