Emergency services dealing with an incident on the line at Coatbridge saw some services in and out of Milngavie suspended today.

Builders working on a property in Coatbridge found a grenade, and a number of houses were evacuated and the line closed.

The line was re-opened shortly after 3.15pm on Friday, but Scotrail says there could still be significant delays because of the backlog, with services expected to be back to normal by rush-hour.

The Edinburgh to Milngavie and Airdrie to Milngavie services were either cancelled or delayed because of the incident.
