Great events at Mugdock Country Park

MUGDOCK Country Park Rangers need volunteers to go along to their ‘Get Your Hands Dirty – Woodland Thinning’ event in Kirkintilloch on Saturday, October 13 from 10.30am to midday 12pm. They need people to help with the woodland management by felling some trees. Wear wellies. Everyone welcome, children must be accompanied by an adult. Meet in Merkland Local Nature Reserve car park off Merkland Drive, Kirkintilloch.

Or you could try the ancient art of medieval archery with the Green Hollow Bowmen on Sunday, October 14 from 2pm to 4pm at Mugdock Country Park. This is your chance to have a go at Longbow - no green tights needed! Watch the demonstration at 2pm or turn up and join in at any time. Meet in the walled garden near the visitor centre. Cost £1.

Children can join in an outdoor adventure in the woodlands around Milton of Campsie on Tuesday, October 16 from 2pm to 4pm. No parents are required at this Ranger led event. Booking is essential, contact the Ranger Service on 0141 956 6586.
