Bearsden-based funeral director Golden Charter Ltd. is a finalist in the prestigious 2014 Glasgow Business Awards.

They were nominated in two categories including best performing business of companies with over 50 employees, and best creative marketing.

The company is up against five other firms including Glasgow Airport and University of Glasgow.

The awards are sponsored by Bank of Scotland and are run by Glasgow Chamber of Commerce.

Michael Corish, managing director of Golden Charter’s business channel, is delighted that they are being recognised as one of the top performing companies in Glasgow.

This follows their recent success in the East Dunbartonshire Business Awards.

He said: “With around 200 staff in Bearsden and a similar number spread around the UK, we are not only the country’s largest funeral planning company, but we are also one of the fastest growing providers of legal services.”
