WHETHER you are running it or just want to watch don’t forget to go along to The Whole Hog Challenge in Balfron this Sunday (May 5).
Nearly 100 participants are expected to take part in the event at Glenside Farm, Fintry Road, G63 0RP to battle mud, waterfalls, burns and bogs in aid of Marie Curie Cancer Care.
The Whole Hog Challenge is a cross country run with a twist as it’s combined with an adventure assault course across 12km of stunning countryside.
It is held at Glenside Farm, near Balfron (on Fintry Road) - G63 ORP. The runners will start at 12noon and the first ones home should be back at the farm at about 1pm to 1.30pm. Radio Clyde’s Gina McKie will be there to give the participants encouragement and to add music and a party atmosphere to the event.

The action packed day will be topped off in style with an unforgettable party and hog roast. All money raised will help Marie Curie nurses in the local area to continue caring for people with cancer and other terminal illnesses.
