Get your entries in now for Herald Pets Factor

IT’S time to go animal crackers again - with your chance to enter the Herald’s Pets Factor.

The competition is back by popular demand for its third year, and it’s a great opportunity to shine a spotlight on your pouch, moggie or any other favourite family pet you feel should be honoured as a top pet.

The contest is open to everyone with a pet and each week we will pick a winner who will receive a £15 voucher to spend in Creature Comforts pet shop in Milngavie, who are again sponsoring the competition.

All entries and pictures will then be put in the paper alongside details of how you can vote.

Creature Comforts stocks everything you would ever need for your pet from specialist cat and dog food, treats and toys, beds, carry baskets, hay sawdust, aquatics including fish and reptiles, tanks and other supplies.

They also have supplies for wild birds such as wild bird mix, sunflower seeds and peanuts.

As well as pets, including birds - cockatiel, budgies and parrots - the shop can also supply rabbits, guinea pigs, rats, mice and hamsters.

The shop has loads of gift ideas for your much-loved pet, such as a range of toys and treats.

Photograph

You must be in it to win it so to enter all you have to do is send a photograph of your pet to Pets Factor, Milngavie and Bearsden Herald, 27 Stewart Street, Milngavie, G62 6BW.

As well as the photo, we need to know the name of your pet, the breed and age, the owner’s name, address, telephone number and e-mail address if applicable.

You can also e-mail entries. Send your pet’s picture in jpeg format, the original size it came off the digital camera, in the e-mail attachment options don’t resize - to mbherald@jnscotland.co.uk and include the details already listed, but head your e-mail Pets Factor.

We will publish some of the photographs sent in over the coming weeks and all entries will then be published with details of how readers can cast their votes for the overall winner.

Herald editor Allan McIntyre said: “This has been a really popular competition in the past and no doubt will be again.

“It is a great way for all our pet-loving readership to show how much they care for their pets. So come on get those entries in. You never know it could be your pet that’s a winner.”
