Get your entries in for our top garden competition

SUMMER sunshine finally arrived this week and we’re looking for a bright start to our super new competition.

We’re launching our Top Garden Competition and looking for Herald readers to help with lots of nominations.

The competition is sponsored by Caulders Garden Centre, Mugdock Park, who have put up some super prizes for our winners.

First prize is £50 worth of vouchers for Caulders plus a garden essentials gift box with a £30 voucher going to the runner-up and third prize being a £20 voucher.

We’ve had lots of rain and now with the bonus of sunshine gardens should be at their best.

You can nominate your own garden or a neighbour’s or friend’s. Just complete the nomination form and send it to us at Top Garden Competition, Milngavie & Bearsden Herald, 29 Stewart Street, Milngavie G62 6BW.

We will arrange to take photographs of the nominated gardens and judges will visit to make final selections.

Helping us with the judging will be a representative of Milngavie in Bloom who do a splendid job in helping to keep the town looking good.

On the launch of the Herald competition, Colin Barrie, managing director of Caulders, said: “Caulders are delighted to sponsor the Top Garden Competition. Our area is renowned for its beautiful gardens and the pride that locals take in them. being a local family business, we are delighted to showcase and reward the effort that folk put in.”
