WAY TO GO . . . funnyman Fred MacAulay raised £15,000 for charity after completing the West Highland Way - and doing gigs along the way.

The broadcaster was raising cash for the STV kids’ charity appeal.

During his six day challenge, Fred walked the demanding 96 miles from Milngavie to Fort William joined each day by a series of well-known faces.

In Milngavie, Fred walked the first section with STV news anchorman John MacKay and Scottish rugby legend Scott Hastings.

He completed the walk with actress Clare Grogan and celebrity chef Nick Nairn.
