Frans voted player of the month

Frederic Frans has been voted the McCrea Financial Services Player of the Month for November.

The Belgian centre half earned the award as a result of an impressive start to life at Firhill that saw the team concede only one goal - a penalty - in the first four games he played in.

Although Freddy has been injured in recent weeks, he did enough during his initial time on the pitch to convince fans to vote for him.

Commenting after receiving the award, Frans said: “I am quite happy with how I have played and I think the statistics speak for themselves. It has been really difficult recently as I have been injured and unable to play.

“I was really happy to sign my contract extension and just hope that I can get fit soon so I can start helping the team again. These awards mean a lot to me so thanks to all of the fans who voted for me.”

This week Partick Thistle take the long journey to Dingwall were they take on Ross County. Kick-off at the Glogal Energy stadium is 3pm.

The next game at Firhill is against Hamilton Academical. This game is on Wednesday January 21 and it kicks-off at 7.45pm.
