REAL ale aficionados will be delighted to hear that Killearn is hosting its first ever beer festival on Saturday, June 9.
Villagers in Killearn and the surrounding area have long talked of the idea of a local, community beer festival and now a team of discerning enthusiasts are staging one as part of the 2012 Killearn Hoolie community event.
It’s going to be held from 4pm to 10pm at The Old Mill Inn, and there will be an excellent selection of real ales from the award-winning Orkney Brewery and Stewart’s Brewers, in beautiful surroundings, with wonderful views out towards Loch Lomond.
The organisers plan to make the festival an annual attraction in the village so they hope that everyone will go along and support it.
This year it will be sponsored by Northwood. Full details are available at www.killearnhoolie.com
