There will be a weekend of free performance, art, music, poetry, film, comedy and discussion exploring the theme “where are you really from?” and lots more at Glasgow’s Centre for Contemporary Arts (CCA) from December 7 to 8.

The Ankur Festival explores multiculturalism in society as well the notion of dual heritage, clashes of culture and immigration.

Local artists, academics and the general public will interrogate the issue of race and ethnicity in contemporary Scotland. Driven by questions such as “where do you really come from” and “do you have to be white to be Scottish?” as well as examining the subject of growing up mixed race.

The CCA is at 350 Saucheihall Street, G2 3JD.
