An emergency rest centre has been set up for the victims of the flood in Bearsden.

Residents without water or power can go to Boclair Academy on Inveroran Drive to use their toilet facilities and get refreshments and water.

Minibuses have been laid on to provide transport from door to door.

East Dunbartonshire Council is also working with Scottish Water and emergency services on site in Cluny Avenue where refreshments and snacks are also available for people who have been affected by the flood.

Scottish Water is continuing to work to restore normal water supplies to more than 23,000 homes in the Bearsden and Maryhill area of Glasgow following the burst water main on Maryhill Road near Coronation Way at about 5am this morning.
