HOOLIGANS turned Hallowe’en into a right fright night by throwing eggs at windows in Milngavie’s Mains Estate.
Locals said they were terrorised after dark on Monday by youths aged between 14 and 16 who were shouting and pelting houses.
Rowdy and abusive crowds of between seven and 15 young hoodlums gathered on the streets and frightened wee ones who were out guising.
One woman, who asked not to be named, said that police were called.
She added that this is the third year in a row teenagers have caused trouble in the estate on Hallowe’en.
She said: “These teenagers are truly pathetic. They are cowardly and only brave in numbers.
“It’s about time some firm action is used to deal with these half wits.
“It’s a shame for all the little ones to have their fun spoiled by these idiots.”
