An inspirational Chryston High School pupil has won a ‘Diana Award’ for helping others.

Kennedy Dolan was presented with her award at Glasgow’s Emirates Arena recently by Olympic rower Katherine Grainger.

The awards, supported by the late Princess Diana’s sons Prince William and Prince Harry, rewards young people who have invested time and energy into improving the lives of others - particular in projects involving volunteering, charity fundraising, being a carer, campaigning or taking part in anti-bullying mentoring.

S6 pupil Kennedy was recognised for her dedicating hours of her time to help fellow-pupils - running lunchtime and after school clubs, choreographing school shows and taking a leadership role within the school peer mentoring programme.
