Counting Officer Gerry Cornes, Chief Executive of East Dunbartonshire Council who read the results at 2.30am this morning (Friday), said: “I would like to thank everyone who helped to ensure the European referendum count for the East Dunbartonshire Constituency went so smoothly.
“I am glad to say there were no significant problems or issues throughout the day at either our polling stations or the count at The Leisuredrome.
“Everyone working at the count did a great job and I would like to thank them for their hard work in counting the votes so efficiently on the night.
“I would also like to extend a thank-you to all the polling station officers and all those who have helped in any way to make this election process a success.”
