September is World Alzheimer’s Month and East Dunbartonshire Council is raising awareness of the condition through a series of activities and events throughout the area.
Social work Convener, Councillor Michael O’Donnell, is keen to raise awareness of all of the support that is available for those experiencing or caring for someone with dementia.

“During World Alzheimer’s Month we have a programme of activity from dementia clinics and workshops through to participation in a Connecting Generations Day with the Equality Engagement Group on September 26, which will bring older and younger people together and identify the mutual benefits of these connections.”
