Drugs worth £155,000 found in Kirkintilloch flat

Drugs with a street value of about £155,000 were found by police officers in a flat in Kirkintilloch at the weekend.

Police officers responded to an incident at a flat in West High Street at around 1am on Saturday, December 17.

They found a quantity of drugs, including heroin, cocaine, cannabis resin and herbal cannabis, during a search of the flat. The drugs have a combined estimated street value of £155,000.

A five figure sum of cash was also recovered from the property.

A 43-year-old man and a 30-year-old woman have been arrested and detained in police custody in connection with the incident.

They are expected to appear in Glasgow Sheriff Court today (Monday, December 19).
