MILNGAVIE MSP Fiona McLeod is encouraging local charity and voluntary organisations to apply for funding to the Bank of Scotland Foundation before the Friday, October 14 cut-off date.
Qualifying organisations can apply for up to £20,000, and Mrs McLeod said: “I am delighted that the Bank of Scotland Foundation is still looking for charities to apply at this late a date – it indicates that there is still considerable money available and I would hope local groups get in quick.
“Local charities have long found it hard to fundraise in these tight financial times. If your project will – in particular – develop or improve the local community or if you will help improve financial literacy or financial inclusion, they want to hear from you. The Foundation’s criteria can be applied in lots of different ways - so if your group or project involves young people, the elderly, disabled people, animals, a play park, anything that will help improve the lives of others or the area you live in and you need funding – get applying now.” Go to http://bankofscotlandfoundation.org/small-grants-programme
