A dog training club from Bearsden was recently awarded Kennel Club listing for working to increase responsible dog ownership.
Foundation Dog Training were also delighted to announce that five of its dogs put forward have gained bronze awards for their behaviour.
The Kennel Club Good Citizen Dog Training Scheme is the largest dog training scheme in the UK. It aims to promote responsible dog ownership by teaching owners to train their dogs for everyday life situations.
A spokesperson for the club said: “We find this is the best way to train calm happy dogs that can cope with everyday life in the home.”
Classes are held for puppies from around 14 weeks and adult dogs in Maryhill Community centre on a Monday evening and teach owners to use the no-force method of positive reinforcement to increase the frequency of good behaviours.
