DON’T forget about the Duntreath Castle autumn fair in Blanefield on Wednesday (October 17).
This is the perfect opportunity to get your Christmas shopping in the bag early and all the money from the entrance fee on the day will be donated to a great cause.
The cash will go to Camphill Village Trust’s Blair Drummond project, which supports adults with learning disabilities, mental health problems and other special needs.
This is the 20th year of the annual event which is organised by Lady Julie Edmonstone, who owns Duntreath Castle and estate with her husband Lord Archie Edmonstone.
There will be about 25 stalls on the day selling a huge variety of unique gifts including handmade gold and silver jewellery with gemstones and pearls, stocking fillers, lovely books at reasonable prices, vintage and designer cashmere clothing, beautiful embroidered silk jackets from Out of The Orient and hand decorated tablewear and stationery.
The Camphill Village Trust committee, chaired by Finella Spens of Gartocharn, provides a delicious selection of rolls and home baking.
The event is from 10am to 5pm and entrance costs £5. Duntreath Castle is on the A81 between Blanefield and Killearn (G63 9AJ).
