DRYMEN WRI ladies enjoyed an outing to Kilmahog Woollen Mill on Friday, April 13 with a delicious afternoon tea and a visit to the shop for some retail therapy.

STRATHENDRICK Film Society - the season has ended and the organisers would like to thank everyone who supported the society in the past year. ‘Great White Silence’ drew an audience of 79 and the voting was as follows: A 42, B 22, C 10, D 2, E 3. STRATHBLANE Guild’s spring fayre for the Children’s Hospice Association will be held on Saturday, April 28 from 10am until midday in the Kirkrooms.

There will be plants and bric a brac stalls and Strathendrick Pipe Band will be there. Donations of baking can be handed in to the Kirkrooms on Friday night between 6.30pm and 8pm. Adults £2. Children free.

GO along to Strathblane Library on Monday for an evening of music inspired by Shakespeare’s words presented by Liz Anne McKerrell as part of World Book Night. The event is free although there will be a chance to donate to BookAid International. Phone the library on 01360 770737 to book.
