THE next meeting of Drymen WRI is on Thursday when the speaker will be from the Scottish SPCA. The competitions for the evening are: sewn article from show schedule - pin cushion and three novelty biscuits. Could members going to Kilmahog Woollen Mill in April please take £5 to the meeting.

Balfron

STRATHENDRICK Film Society - Casablanca will be screened tomorrow (Friday) at 7.30pm in Balfron High School. The film runs for 102 minutes. One night membership is £4. Starring Humphrey Bogart, this film was made in 1942. Set in unoccupied Africa during the early days of the Second World War - An American expatriate meets a former lover, with unforeseen complications. For more information go to www.film-society.org

Strathblane

GUIDES - the 1st Strathblane Guides are having an open night today (Thursday) at 7.30pm to 9pm in the Scout/Guide Hall. Pass this message on to any 10 to 14 year old girls who would like to give it a try and find out more.

OPEN Surgery - go along to the library tomorrow (Friday) from midday to 1pm for an open surgery with Bruce Crawford MSP. This is a good opportunity to make your voice heard and raise any concerns you may have.
