Bearsden’s Kilmardinny Music Circle is proud to present a performance by international star violinist - Tai Murray - who will play JS Bach for the opening concert of their 2013-14 season in Kilmardinny House, Bearsden on Friday, October 4 at 7.30pm.
All the way from America via Berlin, where she now lives, the BBC Radio 3 New Generation Artist Tai Murray will perform solo sonatas and partitas by J S Bach along with short works, from her new CD, by the late master of American music, Elliot Carter, who died only last year aged 103!
A spokseperson for Kilmardinny Music Circle said: “This will be a concert of music of the highest order played for us by one of the real rising stars on the international scene, she has been called ‘technically flawless, vivacious and scintillating.’
“Tai will also bring to Kilmardinny one of the great Stradivarius violins from the maker’s last years.”
The next concert of the season will be Schubert with Stevenson Winds on Friday, November 1 also at 7.30pm in Kilmardinny House.
The prestige wind ensemble from the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland will bring an evening of music for wind ensemble, including Schubert’s Wind Octet.
Single concert tickets ( for non-members) are £10. It’s £5 for students and school pupils (16 and over), school pupils (under 16 and adult accompanied) get in free. Memberships are £50 for the full season and from £30 for 1/2 season.
