P1 children from Clober Primary School in Milngavie visited ‘Bluebell Wood’ florist and gift shop in Milngavie recently.

The P1b pupils have set up their own flower shop in school but wanted to find out more about a real shop so they walked from their school to the florist to meet the owner Anne Marriott.

Anne told the children what had inspired her to be a florist and showed them all the beautiful flowers. She explained how she looks after them and the types of arrangements that she does. She said the best thing about her job is putting a smile of people’s faces. The children learned a lot from the trip which helped to make their role play florist at school more meaningful and real.
