Church children take a walk in someone else’s shoes

Children from Castlehill Baptist Church in Bearsden raised £700 recently for disadvantaged children in Uganda by putting themselves in their shoes for a day.

Church member Ruth Gilchrist worked with the charity last summer and came home with a passion to support their work with children and families who find themselves without homes and support.

The Sunday School members were asked to jog or walk a mile in Langfaulds Park in Bearsden on Saturday, April 27 to give them an idea of what it would be like to walk for water every day which is a a common experience for many people in developing nations.

They were helped by Clyde the dog. Members of the church thanked everyone who supported the event.
