KINDHEARTED staff at Bearsden chartered accountant’s firm Abercrombie Gemmell handed over a cheque for £10,000 to the Beatson Cancer Centre at Garscube following a year long fundraising event for the Beatson Pebble Appeal. The appeal, named after the small stones to signify donations of any amount are welcome, is aiming at raising money to build a new Research Centre; the final element in the creation of the Glasgow Centre for Cancer Research.

Staff at the accountancy company were involved in a number of events including a 10k run, abseilling off the Falkirk Wheel and a zip slide across the Clyde.
