Careers advice given

IN East Dunbartonshire, 2406 people were supported by Skills Development Scotland’s careers information services during the first half of this year.

A total of 289 people also joined SDS’s national training programmes between April to September. This includes 163 starting a Modern Apprenticeship and 126 new starts on SDS’s Get Ready for Work, Training for Work and Lifeskills programmes.

Marjory Logue of SDS said: “This demonstrates that SDS is successfully delivering programmes that are meeting the needs of people in East Dunbartonshire.”
