MILNGAVIE in Bloom needs people to donate snowdrop bulbs so they can create a pretty snowdrop trail through the town centre.
Barbara Adam, a volunteer with the group which was set up a few years ago to make Milngavie more attractive, said: “This is the time of year when people divide their snowdrop clumps to re-plant them for next year.
“We are asking people to consider donating a few of them to us so that we can plant them in the village centre.
“It would be great to get a snowdrop trail going here as people would come and visit especially to see them.
“Snowdrop festivals are growing in popularity and are held throughout the country.
“These lovely little white flowers are the first sign of spring and they are very hardy so they will grow almost anywhere.”
They plan to plant some snowdrops on the banking next to the steps leading from the train station into the village.
If you can donate bulbs please phone 0141 584 9400.
