A DISGRUNTLED bus passenger has hit out at the ‘unreliable’ 118 service that runs from Duntocher to the city centre.
Gary Hume (36) said the last straw came on Sunday when he says he had to wait an hour and 40 minutes for the 4.50pm service from the village into the city centre.
He said: “There was no bus. I don’t know what happened. If I call First bus I don’t get a reply. This is the final straw.”
Mr Hume, from Bonnaughton Road, Bearsden, an assistant manager at a sports retail shop in Glasgow, has used the bus for more than 10 years and reckons the timetable bears no resemblance to reality.
A spokesperson for First, who operate the 118, which goes through Bearsden, said: “Our data shows that on Sunday, September 4 our 16.50 service from Old Street, Duntocher to the city centre operated on time. We urge customers who have enquiries about services to contact us directly on 0141 423 6600.”
