Burns ceilidh will help raise cash for Marie Curie Hospice

A Stepps man is looking for support for an annual Robert Burns extravaganza in aid of the Marie Curie Hospice.

The Burns Supper, with disco and ceilidh, takes place at Glasgow City Chambers on Saturday, January 23 from 5.20pm.

Organiser Tom Coatts said: “I am a Marie Curie volunteer and a community ambassador. I arrange this every year to raise funds and awareness of the Glasgow hospice. The hospice does a fantastic job. It costs £20 per hour for a nurse to care for a patient in their own home.”

Tom’s mum Cathy passed away with cancer and he said he wanted to take the opportunity to remember everyone effected by cancer.
