WORK has started on an extension to the Burnbrae pub and restaurant in Bearsden.
When completed, by November 2, this will provide space for 40 new tables.
Manager Gerry Savage said: “Guests can be waiting up to an hour for a table in The Burnbrae and we are very keen to cut the wait for tables.
“By investing back into The Burnbrae and creating another room this will hold another 40 covers for us. This will dramatically cut the wait that we currently have for tables and allow us to continue to develop the Burnbrae as the key dinning out destination within the Bearsden and Milngavie area.
“When the extension is completed, we will be able to accommodate more guests and large group bookings.
“Not only are we extending the business, but we have heavily invested into other areas. The launch of our new food and wine menus will take place on completion of the works.
”We will have a review on the pricing with some of the wine actually coming down in price.”
The Burnbrae will showcase its strengths this weekend when it has a stand at the Good Food Show Scotland which is at the SECC, Glasgow, from Friday till Sunday.
