STIRLING Council will be faced with a hefty repair bill after Drymen Bridge was damaged in recent floods - but councillors have vowed that they will pull out all the stops to get it done as soon as possible.
As much as 100 metres of the wall on the southside A811 carriageway leading to the stone structure over the River Endrick was washed away during the heavy rain last Monday and Tuesday.
Councillor Graham Lambie and Stirling MSP Bruce Crawford met with locals last Friday.
Engineers are already carrying out an assessment of the damage.
The road was closed until Wednesday with temporary traffic lights due to the loss of part of the carriageway.
