Blane Valley Carbon Neutral Group is winding up after four and a half years of activities and projects in Strathblane to save energy and create a more sustainable future.
Everyone is invited to go along to their farewell event on Wednesday, December 7 at 7pm to 9.30pm in the Village Club, Glasgow Road, Blanefield.
It will be chaired by Alf Young, formerly of The Herald.
A spokesperson said: “We’re disbanding because the members have worked hard and now they need a rest.
“This event will be a chance to celebrate what the group has achieved, share the results of our projects, reaffirm why we need to find more sustainable ways to live, and discuss how we can do that. There will also be sherry and mince pies.”
The draft programme is on the village website, www.strathblanefield.org.uk
