Staff from Black and Lizars optometrists in Milngavie are going to run the Great Scottish Run 10k on Sunday, October 6 to raise cash for Yorkhill Children’s Hospital.
They will be part of a team of 80 runners, staff and patients from 26 Black and Lizars practices throughout Scotland, who are taking part.
Practice manager at Milngavie, Jacklyn Gray, said: “We are delighted to be doing this event, Yorkhill Hospital is very close to all of our hearts and we are honoured to be raising as much money as possible for this fantastic cause.”
Black and Lizars are also the Official Vision Partner again this year for the Great Scottish Run and will have a stand at the finishing line in Glasgow Green on the Sunday after the 10k and half marathon.
Families at the children’s races on Saturday will also be able to meet Seemore, Black and Lizars children’s mascot and cheer him on in the mascot race at midday.
