Bearsden ski whizz kids win national schools’ championship

It was triple delight for triplets Cameron, Georgia and Mhairi Crooks, and fellow St Andrew’s Primary School pupil Marcus Hanlon (third from left), when they won the Scottish Primary School’s Skiing Finals. The younsters are all 10 and from Bearsden.

The finals were held at Braehead recently and organised by Snowsport Scotland. Over 50 primary schools took part in the four heats with a large contingent coming from Perthshire and Aberdeen. Other schools competing in the Scotland wide event were from East Renfreshire, Falkirk and Stirling. The four youngsters clinching victory in the dual slalom event. The triplets are member of Bearsden Ski Club, with Marcus at Bellahouston.
