PUPILS from a Bearsden dancing school were the stars of a daytime television show recently.

Dancers from the Hemingway-Campbell Highland Dance School appeared on This Morning when they were filmed live at Braehead Shopping Centre.

The girls met ‘I’m A Celebrity’ winners Stacey Solomon and Gino D’Acampo who were also appearing on the show, as well as presenters Alison Hammond and Matt Johnson and male harmony group The Overtones.

The dancers gave a kilted Matt Johnson a quick lesson in Highland dancing as a crowd of around 500 looked on.

Dancing teacher, Nina Hemingway, said: “The girls thoroughly enjoyed themselves. They thought it was great fun being on television.”

Braehead’s marketing manager, Lydia Brown, said: “There was a huge turnout of shoppers for the broadcast of This Morning from Braehead.

“It went very well and the celebrities mixed with shoppers signing autographs and posing for photographs in between the live broadcasts.”
