Christopher and Margaret Blair celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary recently with a visit from the Provost Una Walker and Depute Lord Lieutenant Anne O’Haggan, who presented the couple with a card from The Queen. Mr and Mrs Blair, who are both 92, married in 1948 at Westwoodend Church, Dumbarton.
He was in the Royal Air Force and she was still part of the Land Army.
They moved to Bearsden in 1953 where Christopher worked as a tool maker. They have one daughter Senga.
A reception for the couple was held in The Jubilee Hospital, Clydebank.
