Up and coming folk band Inveroran will perform for a St Andrew’s Night celebration in Cyan bar and restaurant in Stewart Street, Milngavie on Saturday, November 30 at 7.30pm.
A talented group of pupils from Boclair Academy in Bearsden got together to form the band and despite some of them having left school, they are stronger than ever and looking forward to filling their diaries with gigs.
Their story started with their involvement in Scottish Fantasia at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and progressed to being accepted on to the Danny Kyle Open Stage as part of the Celtic Connections Festival 2013.
They have also performed at the Torrance Burns Supper, raiser funds at Asda, Milton of Campsie Festival and the Bearsden Festival’s Battle of the Bands where they came third.
They have also been invited to play at Cameron House at the School Leaders Scotland Conference.
There will also be a buffet supper and raffle to raise money for the Glasgow Marie Curie Hospice.
Local businesses have donated prizes. Tickets, costing £15, are available from Milngavie Bookshop, the Iron Chef in Milngavie, and Marie Curie Hospice shop in Bearsden.
