A special event organised by East Dunbartonshire Leisure and Culture Trust (EDLCT) for young people who are interested in a career in the arts was well attended by secondary pupils from Milngavie and Bearsden recently.

Pupils from Bearsden Academy are with the event organiser and cultural co-ordinator, Esmee Thompson, at the Red Kite Animations stall with Jim Stirk who demonstrated model making and animation.

A wide range of Scotland’s arts, cultural and learning organisations were there to give advice on how to work in dance, theatre and music at the Creative Industries Day in Woodhill Evangelical Church.

Students from the Academy of Music and Sound provided live music and North Glasgow College hosted taster workshops in millinery techniques. (Ref: K11760)
