It certainly was the case that ‘Baljaffray’s Got Talent’ when pupils from the primary school performed at Bearsden Town Hall on Friday, May 31.

Organised by the PTA, the annual event raised £500 for Baljaffray Primary, and gave pupils the chance to shine.

Dancers included The Shorties - Diamond dance group who also sang, the Dancing Divas with a street dance routine and the Remix Rebels with their disco moves.

Patrick O’Halloran wowed the crowd with light illusions on the ends of his fingers, The Jokers made everyone LOL and The Human Race band and solo singer Rachel Smillie gave outstanding performances.

Some pupils wrote a play, based on the classic tale of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, which they performed on stage and the evening culminated with judging by the children who wore face masks of the celebrity judges from Britain’s Got Talent.

Deputy headteacher Elaine Paterson said: “We were impresssed with the amount of talent we have in the school.

“There’s always a buzz in the school in the run up to this every year - the children absolutely love taking part.”
