BEARSDEN-based R-Biopharm Rhône, one of Scotland’s leading scientific exporters, has had its achievements in best management practice recognised with the award of the coveted Bronze Investors In People award.
The agri-food diagnostics company, which operates from the West of Scotland Science Park on the Garscube Estate, won the award for demonstrating the highest quality standards in management, training and engagement of staff.
It now employs 50 people at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility on Todd Campus, making cutting edge diagnostic kits used by household-name multinationals such as Heinz, Danone, Kraft and Nestlé.
Quality manager Margo Currie (pictured) said: “This is a fantastic achievement for the whole company. The process has driven a culture change within the company which is continuing to have tangible positive benefits.”
Simon Bevis, managing director, said: “The achievement is a great reward for the substantial effort and extra work put in to make sure that we reached this important milestone in the company’s 25-year history.
