Art’s the way to do it

A BALFRON arT school celebrates a successful first year this month by hosting an art week.

The five-day course hosted by Ewen Duncan from July 16 to 20 is the feature of the art4you Scotland event.

The school opened for business at Ballochruin Alpaca Farm, Balfron Station, this time last year with one evening class.

Now, it runs four evening and two day classes every week, plus art weekends and family art days.

Classes cover everything from beginner’s techniques to full-scale life drawing and oil painting.

Mr Duncan, a Glasgow School of Art graduate, will run the course from Monday to Friday from 10am to 4pm.

He said: “We started art4you Scotland with a blank canvas a year ago in a byre with bare walls at Ballochruin Farm.

“A year on and we celebrate our birthday in a fantastic light-filled studio whose walls are lined with the incredible work created by our enthusiastic students.”
