Police are appealing for the assistance of the public in tracing the relatives of a man who died in the east end of Glasgow.

John Hepburn, aged 69, passed away within the Bellgrove Hotel, Gallowgate, Glasgow on Monday, December 7.

Officers said there were no suspicious circumstance surrounding his death.

Constable Rosa Stewart of London Road Police Office said today: “Enquiries are continuing to trace any relatives, but so far we have been unable to find any.

“Mr Hepburn was homeless for a number of years and previously lived in a hostel in the Tollcross area.

“He may have a nephew called Steven, but we don’t know anything else about him at this time.

“I’d ask anyone who has information on Mr Hepburn’s relatives to contact London Road Police Office on 0141 532 4765.”
